Welcome to Trek for a Cure!

Hiking the Tahoe to Yosemite Trail to find a
Cure for
Myeloproliferative Neoplasms
In 2010, after two years of living with the Myeloproliferative
Neoplasm called Polycythemia Vera, I decided that the best way
to confront this complicated and deadly disease was to raise the
money to find a cure.
I combined my adventurous spirit and deep appreciation of
nature and hiked the John Muir Trail in the High Sierras as a
fundraiser for research in order to find a cure.
We raised 30,000 dollars to fund research.
Next July I will hike the Sierras again!  I will hike 190 mile from
Tahoe to Yosemite to once again raise money for research to find
a cure.
All of the money raised will go directly to funding research in
cooperation with the MPN Research Foundation.
